Hi everyone,
In the past, Sara Rose worked as an intern at RCIL under Deaf Systems Advocacy for a short time. While she was doing some research she found some issues that people face related to employment and did a brief employment video blog. I thought I would share her video. The email and phone number are still good and the same. Please watch her video:
I would also like to remind you that on December 13, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm at RCIL, 497 State Street, Rochester, NY 14608. We will like to collect more frustration stories and issues related to employment.
At the same time, RCIL already invited some employment experts to attend this event to give some feedback of possible solutions for you. Please feel free to share your stories, you would never know what the experts will share of possible solutions. Also to add, not all the people who are attending will share frustration Some people attending will share good stories of their experience in employment. We welcome anything in this Employment Town Hall meeting. We do not need to agree.
Again, we are welcoming ALL people. You do not have to be disabled, deaf or hard of hearing individual to attend this town hall meeting. We are inviting hearing and abled bodied people too. We want to share our frustration and solutions together.
For more information about the event and flyer about the Employment Town Hall Meeting this Thursday, December 13 from 7 to 9 pm can be found below:
