 We need to have 30 reservations to have the class.

 

ASL interpreters will be provided.

 You will learn about:

Planning before an event- knowing the risks and danger signs; developing a plan for what to do; and how to assemble a disaster kit

 During the event– putting a plan into action; help others; follow the advice and guidance of officials

After an event: have knowledge of disaster recovery measures; be alert for dangerous or hazardous conditions

We will also have a presenter at noon from Monroe County 911 to present on the 911 SPIN- Special Person In Need program and the 911 Hyper Reach link program – Individuals with disabilities or Family members can sign up with relevant information concerning their disabilities and for notifying 911 on the type of assistance they would need in the event of an emergency or disaster.  You can also signup if you would need to be reached by an alternate source besides a landline phone.

Actual sign ups will be available.
