Hey everyone,

For those who are tired of the !@#$% glasses at Regal theater or the wide spreading growth of off screen captioning ideas of hearing society in western part of NY or are willing to drive few hours to watch movies. Seriously, some deaf friends in New York State are willing to drive 4 hours just to enjoy on screen caption outdoor. 🙂

A friend, Daniel Farfaglia, just informed me about this Sunday event at 8 pm! Please read his message at far below of this post.  These movies will be displaying on Sundays for a while.  Don’t miss the movies!!!

For our hearing friends who don’t see what we mean by glasses and off screen captioning check out Matt Daigle’s cartoon that explains it the best:

Subject: 5 open captioned movies at the Midway Drive In Theatre.

Hi everyone:

Hello and how are you doing? I also realize that this is very very short notice. This Sunday, September 1st, starting at 8pm, the Midway Drive In Theatre {http://www.midwaydrivein.com/ } will be hosting a Dusk to Dawn show containing 5 movies currently in theatres that will ALL be in open captioned format. It would be great if you could make it.

No special glasses needed and all you need to do is purchase one $7 ticket for all 5 features. Kids under 12, even cheaper at $2 a ticket. Any kids in car seats – FREE.

People are allowed to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. There is no rule against bringing your own food either.  Anyone that comes needing sound such as those who are hoh or hearing, a portable radio will be needed if they choose to sit outside. Or you can borrow one from the theatre, they have plenty available at no extra charge.

Just like years’ past, the customers will be allowed to set up tents (no extra charge, just a movie ticket), concession stand & bathrooms will be open all night.

For a listing of what’s playing please go to:

This is the address:

Midway Drive In Theatre
2475 New York State Route 48
Fulton, NY 13069

If anyone has any questions, they can feel free to contact me. I realize that it’s a 90 minute drive for those in the Rochester area, but perhaps a mini road trip will be a great way to start off the fall.

Thanks and have a great day.

Daniel Farfaglia
